finally updating my blog... think i'll just talk about the guides day camp.
Day 1
monfort scouts came to teach us and some seng kang guides pioneering which is mainly building structures using spars and ropes. spent about a total of 6hrs under the hot sun learning and trying to make a static flagpole, quadpod gateway and jacob's ladder. after that, the guests received a souvenior each as an appreciation of their participation. when they left, we played 'treasure hunt' in patrols. some clues were tough to solve and my patrol went to ask for hints. (eg. 01, 22, 20 ans: AVT). my patrol won in the end but the next patrol was very close, we ran to the end point. before the day ends, we played two more games but i forgot what they are called. the whole day was quite ok, but the sun was too unbearable.. got sunburn on the neck.

Day 2
brownies from my pri sch came to learn knots and lashing. catholic high scouts combined with us to teach the sec1&2 guides, st john, npcc, ncc basic knots & lashings and some gadgets like table,luggage rack, shoe rack, etc. the sun was as hot, so my sunburn worsen, hurts even when i never touch it. yiting, yunjie, me and two scouts(dunno their names) are in charge of shoe rack. everything was fine till it came to teaching people from ncc. i was super duper angry when i saw that they mallet two poles deep into the ground. they were lucky that the ground wasn't tough and the poles didn't get stuck or break. if the poles were to break, i would have been really mad. they didn't treat the whole thing seriously lah, playing with gadget poles and looking childish in front of people from another school. haiz, but i forgot about it when i helped to teach the brownies square lash when it started drizzling. after a few minutes, i had to prepare the telematch that was coming up. i dunno if the brownies and guides enjoyed or even liked the telematch that i prepared. i made last minute changes to my previous plan as i didn't know that the brownies are joining us. the day ended pretty early at 4 plus, but it felt like it was 7pm at that time. everyone was tired and sleepy... generally, i feel that this two day camp was successful.

tomorrow is the school carnival.. will i be going? i'm not sure...
